Russia ranked 6th out of 30 European countries as the best place for international students based on several parameters: education, cost, and life & career. First places belong to Germany, the U.K., the Netherlands, France and Sweden, according to the newly published Study.EU Country Ranking 2017.
Gerrit Bruno Blöss, the CEO of Study.EU is notsurprised. "Russian universities enjoy a remarkable reputation worldwide. Recent efforts of internationalizing its higher education have been paying off, and students now have many options to choose from".
The Study.EU Country Ranking addresses the specific needs of students seeking high-quality, accessible and affordable education abroad. Based on a range of carefully selected factors, countries were given scores in three areas: Education, Cost, and Life & Career.
Blöss shared his positive outlook with RBTH: "We would not be surprised if Russia makes it into the top 5 in next year's ranking. With its 'Project 5-100,' to internationalize and improve its academic competitiveness, Russia has an edge over other European countries."
To remind, the goal of Project 5-100 is to maximize the competitive position of a group of leading Russian universities in the global research and education market.
