Dear interns! We are working as usual and are ready to welcome candidates of all nationalities to our programs in Russia.
Program:
Individual internships
My name is Alex, and I am, sadly, getting close to the end of my internship in Saint Petersburg. I chose to intern in Russia mainly to improve my Russian, that I have been studying for a while, and to gain some work experience after finishing my degree in Accounting and Management. I can say without a doubt that I don’t regret my choice, since I gained a lot from this experience, both personally and professionally. I am therefore very grateful to Profintern, who were very helpful both before and during my stay, for finding an internship that met all my expectations.
My internship is in the Russian branch of an international logistics company in Saint Petersburg. I work in the Project and Machinery department, so my main tasks are to help organize and supervise shipments and delivery of materials from Europe for construction projects here in Russia. I also work on enriching the company’s supplier database and deal with a bit of paperwork. The commute is a bit long, but definitely worth it, as learn more and more every day. I work almost exclusively in Russian, with only Russian colleagues, which is a challenge, but one that I am sure has helped me improve my Russian and prepared me for further challenges in my future career.
As for the city itself, there is an overwhelming number of beautiful sights and fun activities, and I certainly did not get bored during the few months I spent here. I have been in Saint Petersburg before, but never for such a long period of time (6 months altogether), so I got to see and experience a lot more of Russia than ever before. I truly enjoyed my time here, and I was able to see every shade of this beautiful city, from the snowy winter to the white nights of June. So all in all, it was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for something a bit different and challenging.
