My experience with ProfIntern

Extra: 2-way airport transfer, Issuing the invitation for visa, Bicycle tour, Tour through the Soviet era + Soviet style lunch

I am happy to write this feedback about the company where I have started my career as a complete engineer, beeing placed for a personalized internship by ProfIntern. I came here with lot of expectations about my future and I am glad that I have learnt a lot in this company. It was really a nice experience roaming around the company where I had a feel of being an engineer. It is always a dream for me to work in a core company of my field where I can learn new things. Fortunately it happened and I am very satisfied with the given opportunity.

The company I was placed is a leading expert in the field of Industrial Communication Systems providing Intercom, Public Address, General Alarm to all the major types of industries in Russia, CIS countries, South Asia and South East part of Asia. In this Multinational company I was given a chance to work(learn) along them in the service department.

At the beginning I worked on Execution of documents, briefings, meetings, acquaintance with Company and colleagues. Then I had Training session with the equipment. Face-to-face (with trainer), self-study and together with department engineers. Later Diagnostics and testing after repair of equipments. It was a nice journey working with the engineers of the company whom were very friendly and always available to help me when I was in need. Finally I was able to do unassisted (under supervision) performance of diagnostics of company’s equipment received from clients for service of my own with the guidance of all great people who are the main reason for completing my tasks on high.

I would like to register my sincere thanks to some people who mean a lot to me in this three months.

First — A big thanks to the Head of the Service Department

He is just the Head in his designation alone not in behaviour. I am so happy that he is so humble and down to earth interacting with colleagues without any thought of being a boss. I was amazed by looking at this culture which is not very easy in my country. Even if i were a boss in my field I would have carried some head weight in a feel that I am superior to all. I have learnt how a leader should be from him. Thank You Boss.

Next — To My colleague — Leading Engineer of Service Department

I had spent most of my time with him which is very valuable and will cherish for long. The calm, child faced man is an absolute genius. To be honest I would love to grow the same in my field of engineering. He is composed in his work a lot and takes things in ease, understands the situation, takes it in control and acts accordingly. His understandings about the equipments are outstanding and his speed to analyze the faults in the devices shows his interest and experience in his work. I am glad that I have learnt a lot from him which will help me in career. Thank You Sir.

Last but not least — Engineer of Service Department

He is a Wikipedia. This guy knows everything and if you doubt, you can approach him technically, I am sure he will make you floored. He is an inspiration for a career starter like me to see how strong should an engineer be in his basics and techniques. Not only as a colleague he was also a good friend who is easily approachable to fulfill my needs. His jacket is still saving me from Petersburg’s climate. Thank You mate.
