Foreign citizens are usually required to have a visa to enter Russia with several exceptions:
- Unlimited stay without a visa: Belarus.
- Non-visa stay of up to 90 days within each 180 days period can be granted to citizens of Azerbaijan, Argentina, Armenia, Brazil, Cuba, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Guatemala, Honduras, Colombia, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru, Ukraine, Uruguay, Fiji, Chile, Ecuador, the Republic of South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan.
- Non-visa stay of up to 30 days: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Mongolia, Serbia, Seychelles.
- Non-visa stay of up to 60 days: The Republic of Korea, Mauritius.
